API's T3 sets a new standard for ease of use, portability,
measurement range and accuracy in-large scale metrology. Our shop-hardened
tracker design, fused with a host of new comprehensive features, delivers
the most definitive laser tracker available in world today. We can align,
measure, scan faster and easier than ever before with unequaled stability &
accuracy for superior results
- Measure tooling, fixtures and jigs
- Error map machine tools and robots
- Align machines, geartrains, rollers, and transfer lines
- Measure surface contours
- Reverse engineer parts
Turbo charge your measurements: API's Turbo ADM improves ease-of-use
on the shop floor and is verifiable thanks to the on board interferometer.
Robust and durable for any environment: Indoors or out, the
Tracker3's proven design has been battle hardened by the toughest
environments.
Fits in places other instruments won't: For any job, large or small
the extremely lightweight and portable Tracker3 is the perfect fit.
Mount it sideways, upside-down, or even directly on your part.
Largest measurement volume-Go the distance: The API Tracker3
is available in 3 different working ranges starting at 30meters(98feet) upto
a maximum of an astounding of 120 meters. (396feet)l Also, with a vertical
range of+80° to -60° you can measure almost anywhere.
Superior engineering: The Tracker3 continues API's proven
tracker design employing on - the shaft laser metrology systems. The
interferometer (IFM), Absolute Distance Meter (TurboADM), and digital
processing electronics are housed in one assembly.
User friendly simplicity: Ease of use is of utmost importance for
the Tracker3. With only 2 simple cables to connect the system it is a
snap to set up. Add the Ethernet or wireless connection to the computer and
you are off and running before most other instruments can betaken out of the
box.
ADM Laser Tracker are the newest portable laser station from API features APIs
advanced TurboADM system which makes precision measurements,
inspections and alignments easier than ever before. Easier to use than a
total station and more affordable than a laser tracker, the Omnitrac
provides the best possible value and performance for your measurement task.
To create the OmniTrac, API started with the rugged and proven
mechanical design of our Tracker3 and worked to create a lower cost,
ADM only system. The Omnitrac has all of the advantages of the
Tracker3 platform: industry leading size and portability, advanced
design, one-man operation, simple setup, instant power start, Turbo ADM, and
a large measurement envelope.
The latest invention in laser tracking technology is newly
designed Active Target. This compact device allows automated laser
tracker measurements on machine tools, robots, and other movable objects
where a standard target could not do the job.
Automatic target tracking: How it works
The Active Target itself acts as in a similar fashion to a standard
laser tracker target or SMR (Spherically Mounted Retroreflector). However,
the Active Target has the advantage of automatically positioning the
reflector so that it is always facing the laser instrument. A simple
principle with resounding effects: an SMR that will not clip the beam.
API offers a full line of targeting solutions for laser tracking systems.
APIs Spherically Mounted Retroreflectors (SMRs) are manufactured to
the highest possible quality and feature several advantages over traditional
mirror mounted targets.
While other SMRs are constructed using a very sensitive alignment of
fragile glass mirrors, API SMRs are manufactured to be much more robust
without sacrificing accuracy. Considering the cost of replacing a single SMR
that has been mishandled or damaged, a break resistant SMR from API will pay
for itself the first time it is mishandled.
Furthermore, APIs Break Resistant SMRs can be used with any existing
laser tracker regardless of make, model, or age. Weather it is an ADM or
interferometer based system, a Break Resistant SMR from API can improve the
durability and accuracy of your measurement process.
API offers two types of Break Resistant SMRs: Prismatic (solid
glass prism corner cube) and Hollow (hollow aluminum optic with
golden reflective surfaces).
All API Break Resistant SMRs Feature:
- Solid construction which gives durability without losing accuracy
- NIST Traceable Certificate of Conformity
- Compatibility with any Laser Tracking System
Our VEC system provides machine tool manufacturers
fast process wich will improve accuracy and simultaneously reduce the
downtime required for calibration. This revolutionary technology allows
significant improvement to the volumetric accuracy and process capability of
a three, four, five, or six axis machine.
Traditional methods of machine tool calibration measure each element of
travel, one at a time in order to determine the compensation factors
necessary for each of the 21 error parameters (for a 3-axis machine). This
time consuming process treats each axis independently and requires multiple
instrument set-ups. After each measurement, the machine stands idle while
the data is processed, often for hours at a time. Depending on the
size and the number of axes on the machine, the entire process can take
multiple days with temperature fluctuations contributing to the errors.
Using APIs Volumetric Error Compensation technology, measurements are
taken continuously by the API Laser Tracker from a single set up. The highly
advanced algorithms developed by API and Boeing then process the data which
takes only a matter of minutes. This revolutionary new technology means big
savings when you need to have your machine up and running quickly and
accurate.
Laser Measurement System has the ability to
simultaneously measure Linear, Angular, Straightness and Roll errors for
rapid machine tool error assessment. The XD Lasers fast,
accurate measurement of machine positioning and axial capability makes
complete machine assessment possible with up to 80% less downtime. A
complete measurement of a 1 meter volume machine is accomplished in 3 to 4
hours instead of 3 days.
Laser Measurement System features:
- Availability in 1, 3, 5, and 6 Degree of Freedom configurations
- Completely wireless operation
- Control box integrated into laser head for ultimate portability
- Measurement of all error parameters from a single setup per axis for
simultaneous measurements of linear, straightness, pitch, yaw, and roll
